1. MEDICAL SPECIALIST (OBSTETRICS /GYNAECOLOGIST) J.G CPSB 03 ‘R’ Positions: - 1 Terms of Service: - Contract
Duties and Responsibilities 1. Provide orthopedic surgical services and services delivery in the orthopedic surgery unit of the hospital ensuring that they meet the expected standards and compliance in the hospital. 2. Coordinate orthopedic surgery referral services within and without the hospital according to the orthopedic surgery services needs in collaboration with other hospital sections and units and within the framework of the hospital and national referral policies. 3. Offer timely orthopedic services within the expected standards, complying with the established ethics and regulations in the hospital. 4. Provide medical research and training within the orthopedic unit of the hospital 5. Provide specialized orthopedic surgery services’ advice to the hospital executive and other sections/units in the appropriate media. 6. Work with other medical specialists to solve single or multiple medical issue (s) or perform extensive surgery, as required by patients in the hospital. 7. Any other duties that may be assigned by the Head of the Department.
Requirements for Appointment 1. Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from a recognized institution. 2. Master of Medicine in Obstetrics /Gynecologist from a recognized institution. 3. Registration with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC). 4. Recognition certificate as a specialist by the KMPDC. 5. Valid Practice License. 6. Professional Insurance Indemnity Cover. 7. Proficiency certificate in computer applications. 8. At least one (1) year of working experience as an Obstetrician / Gynecologist in a reputable hospital.
2. MEDICAL OFFICER J.G CPSB 07 ‘M’ Positions: - 10 Terms of Service: - Permanent & Pensionable
Duties and Responsibilities 1. Participate in the strategic planning of the division in collaboration with other medical staff in the unit for significant impact on the performance or business outcome of the hospital and its sub-functions. 2. Attend to patients’ medical needs, diagnose their illnesses and prescribe medicines and other therapeutic interventions in consultation rooms at the hospital. 3. Follow-up on and observe the clinical conditions and progress of patients in the wards 4. Provide medical advice, counselling, health education and control measures to patients in the hospital in order to prevent spread of diseases and injuries. 5. Work with other medical staff to solve single or multiple medical issues and/or participate in performing extensive surgical operations in the hospital. 6. Implement best practice clinical and patient care related policies and procedures in the outpatient division of the hospital. 7. Refer outpatients to the appropriate specialized clinics and medical consultants within the hospital for further diagnosis, treatment and management of their medical conditions. 8. Provide quality emergency medical services to patients in the emergency unit of the hospital. 9. Any other duty given from time to time.
Requirements for Appointment 1. Kenyan Citizen 2. Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from a recognized institution 3. Must have a Certificate in basic life support and Advanced Cardiac life support 4. 3. REGISTERED NURSE III J.G CPSB 11 ‘H’ Positions: - 42 Terms of Service: - Permanent & Pensionable
Duties and Responsibilities 1. Assessing, planning, implementing nursing interventions and evaluating patient outcome, providing appropriate health care service including integrated. 2. Management of childhood illness (IMCI) Immunization, PMTC, Antenatal care and delivery, providing health education and counselling to patients and clients 3. Facilitate patient’s admission and initiating discharge plans, maintaining records on patients/clients health education and care. Ensuring a tidy and safe clinical environment, collecting and compiling 4. Any other duty that may be delegated

Duties and Responsibilities 1. Taking history, examining, diagnosing and treating patients; 2. Offering specialized clinical services in Anesthesia; 3. Guiding and counselling patients/clients and other staff on health issues; 4. Implementing community health care activities in liaison with other health care workers; 5. Carrying out minor surgical procedures as per training and skills. 6. Collecting and compiling clinical data; 7. Assessing, preparing and presenting medico-legal reports; 8. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Manipulating and Reducing fractures and dislocations; 2. Fixing and removing casts, bandages to and from patients; 3. Correcting Congenital Talipes Equino – Venous (T.E.V); 4. Participating in managing of minor orthopedic and trauma cases in emergencies and accidents; 5. Sensitizing and creating awareness on orthopedic trauma conditions to communities; 6. Guiding and counselling patients, clients and staff on issues regarding to orthopedic trauma; 7. 16. MORTUARY SUPERINTENDENT III J.G CPSB 11 ‘H’ Positions: - 2 Terms of Service: - Permanent & Pensionable
Duties and Responsibilities 1. To be responsible for cleaning and pertaining duties related to the mortuary 2. Receiving of dead bodies from wards, public and police and delivering same to relatives/parents/police 3. Wrapping in mortuary sheets, labelling and sorting of dead bodies in the cold room of the mortuary 4. Cleaning, wrapping in mortuary sheets, labelling after autopsies for cases referred to the hospital by the police 5. Keeping of appropriate registers for receipt and delivery of dead bodies at the mortuary 6. Washing, cleaning and disinfecting of mortuary equipment and instrument after post-mortem examinations 7. Embalming of dead bodies, whenever required 8. Delivering of dead bodies after autopsies to relatives/parents/police 9. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Respond appropriately to emergency calls 2. Assess a person’s condition and know how to provide proper medical care 3. Put together an initial plan of care to quickly stabilize an individual in distress 4. Provide life-saving medical interventions like Cardio pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) 5. Determine where to transport a patient for continuing care 6. Communicate clearly and effectively with other first responders and emergency medical staff, and personnel 7. Maintain 12-hour shift schedules and on-call hours 8. Document medical care given to patients 9. Report patient observations to appropriate medical professionals
