Positions: - 1

 Terms of Service: - Permanent and Pensionable 

 

 Duties and Responsibilities

1. Ensure management and administration of trade and business development services;

2. Develop policies related to trade;

3. Offer leadership in conducting research on trade and related issues for the county;

4. Develop training proposals on trade development;

5. Market the county as an investment destination;

6. Monitor and evaluate trade development projects and programmes;

7. Development of SME’s engaged in trade;

8. Collect, analyse and disseminate business information and management of county business information centers;

9. Promoting of export business and domesticating inter-county regional and international trade at county level;

10. Organize outreach activities and networking with trade related agencies;

11. Day to day operation of county loans scheme.

12. Coordinate preparation of divisional work plans, setting performance targets and budget estimates for the department and guiding and supervising staff; and

13. Perform any other duties and responsibilities as shall be delegated from time to time.  

 

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this post, a candidate must have:-

1. Served in the grade of Senior Assistant Director Trade for a minimum period of three years or in a comparable and equivalent position in the public service or private sector.

2. Bachelors degree in any of the following disciplines: - Commerce, Marketing, Business Administration, Business Management and Information Technology, Entrepreneurship, Economics, International Trade/Business/Cooperative Business or its equivalent from a recognized institution.

3. Master’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: - Commerce, - Commerce, Marketing, Business Administration, Business Management and Information Technology, Entrepreneurship, Economics, International Trade, Law from recognized institution will be an added advantage.

4. A management Course from a recognized institution

5. Have knowledge of ICT.

6. Meet requirement of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.

 

 

   2. REF: SCPSB/49/02/2021 CHIEF COOPERATIVE AUDITOR J.G CPSB 07 ‘M’

 Positions: - 1

 Terms of Service: - Permanent and Pensionable 

 

 Duties and Responsibilities

1. Observing and preparing primary audit reports/queries on Cooperative Societies financial statements

2. Making detailed audit reports on periodical financial returns and estimates of income and expenditure

3. Evaluating and documenting audit evidence.

4. Any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor

  

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this post, a candidate must have a:-

1. Served in the grade of a senior Cooperatives Auditor or in a comparable and relevant position in the public service or private sector for a minimum period of three (3) years.

2. Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Commerce (Accounting/Finance Option); Economics, Mathematics; Statistics; Business Administration or Cooperative Management from a recognized institution;

                           OR

Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K) Part III or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) Part IV from or equivalent from a recognized institution

                          OR

     Diploma in any of the following Disciplines – Cooperative Management, Cooperative Auditing or Finance from a recognized institution 

3. Certificate in a management Course from a recognized institution

4. A Certificate in Computer Applications.

5. Meet requirement of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

2. Clearance from HELB where necessary

3. Clearance from the Ethics and anti- corruption commission

4. Clearance from the CRB.

5. Certificate of Good Conduct from the police
