1. ASSISTANT ENGINEER II(ELECTRICAL) J.G CPSB 09 ‘K’ Positions: - 1 Terms of Service: - Permanent and Pensionable
Duties and Responsibilities The officer will work under close supervision of an experienced officer to perform the following duties and responsibilities; - 1. Design of electrical/Electronic engineering services in government buildings and construction works; 2. Repair and maintenance of electrical /electronic installations in waterworks, offices, workshops , conference complexes and other county government facilities. 3. Any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor
Requirements for Appointment For appointment to this position, a candidate must ;- 1. Be a Kenyan Citizen 2. Be in possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution. 3. Master’s degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage 4. Be Licensed by energy and petroleum regulatory authority 5. Be Registered by Engineers Registration Board of Kenya as a graduate engineer or its relevant equivalent and in good standing. 6. Have Certificate in Computer Applications.
2. ASSISTANT ENGINEER II(ROADS/STRUCTURAL) J.G CPSB 09 ‘K’ Positions: - 1 Terms of Service: - Permanent and Pensionable
Duties and Responsibilities The officer will work under close supervision of an experienced officer to perform the following duties and responsibilities; - 1. Preliminary design, supervision of construction and maintenance of classified and unclassified roads 2. Designing, preparation of drawings and supervision of construction of civil and structural works for simple projects. 3. Any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor
Requirements for Appointment For appointment to this position, a candidate must: - 1. Be a Kenyan Citizen 2. Be in possession of a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution. 3. Master’s degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage 4. Be Registered by Engineers Registration Board of Kenya as a graduate engineer or its relevant equivalent and in good standing. 5. Have trained on Environmental health and safety precaution by a reputable engineering organization. 6. Have Certificate in Computer Applications.
3. ARCHITECTURAL ASSISTANT J.G CPSB 10 ‘J’ Positions: - 1 Terms of Service: - Permanent and Pensionable
Duties and Responsibilities The officer will work under close supervision of an experienced officer to perform the following duties and responsibilities; - 1. Interpretation of the Architects sketches and preparation of finished drawings 2. Reading and interpreting Engineering drawings in relation to the architects sketch and incorporating these details in the finished drawings 3. Preparation and checking of finished working drawings 4. Analysis of technical information required by project teams at each design stage 5. Coordination, organization and scheduling of work to ensure smooth flow 6. Perform such other functions as may be delegated from time to time. 7. Any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor
Requirements for Appointment For appointment to this position, a candidate must: - 1. Be a Kenyan Citizen 2. Have A Diploma in Architecture from a Recognized institution 3. Have Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage 4. Have Served as architectural Assistant III in public service or in a relevant and equivalent grade in the private sector for a minimum period of three (3) years. 5. Have Membership of Architectural Association of Kenya 6. Have a Certificate in Computer Applications.
4. ROADS INSPECTOR J.G CPSB 10 ‘J’ Positions: - 3 Terms of Service: - Permanent and Pensionable
Duties and Responsibilities An officer at this level will deputize the Officer-in-Charge of a sub-county. Duties will include:- supervision of all road construction and maintenance works; preparation of all work programmes for all camps; ensuring that all ledgers, work tickets, log sheets, returns, master rolls, daily activity cards, etc, for camps are properly completed in time and submitted as required; advising on the priorities for maintenance programmes and required distribution of plant, vehicles and staff; ensuring that all camps receive the necessary stores, materials, fuel and tools to undertake work assigned to them; and representing the department in interdepartmental meetings.
Requirements for Appointment For appointment to this grade, an officer must:- 1. Kenyan Citizen 2. A Diploma in Civil Engineering or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution. 3. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage 4. Served in the grade of Inspector (Roads) or a comparable and relevant position for at least three (3) years; and 5. Graduate engineering technical from the institution of Engineers of Kenya or relevant professional body/institution 6. Proficiency in computer applications
5. ASSISTANT ENGINEER II (MECHANICAL- BUILDING) J.G CPSB 09 ‘K’ Positions: - 1 Terms of Service: - Permanent and Pensionable
Duties and Responsibilities 1. Preparation of design of mechanical services in County Government building and construction works 2. Maintenance of mechanical installation in County Government facilities 3. Any other duties as may be assigned. 4. Calibrating and troubleshooting of equipment required
Requirements for Appointment For appointment to this post, a candidate must have: - 1. Kenyan Citizenship 2. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized institution. 3. Master’s degree will be an added advantage 4. Been registered by Engineers Registration Board of Kenya 5. Practical experience using CAD software 6. A Certificate in Computer Applications
6. QUANTITY SURVEY ASSISTANT II J.G CPSB 10 ‘J’ Positions: - 2 Terms of Service: - Permanent and Pensionable
Duties and Responsibilities An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer. Duties and responsibilities at this level entail: squaring dimensions and abstracting for the preparation of bills of quantities; preparation of specifications; site measurements, preparation of payment certificates and final accounts; compilation of tender and contract documentation; staffing of functional units relating to fees and cost planning.
Requirements for Appointment For appointment to this position, a candidate must have: - 1. Kenyan Citizen 2. Diploma or a Technician Certificate Part III in any of the following fields: Quantity Survey, Building/Civil Engineering, or its equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution; 3. Master degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage 4. served in the grade of Quantity Survey Assistant III or in a comparable and relevant position for at least three (3) years; 5. shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results. 6. Registered with relevant profession body 7. Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards 8. Should have certificate in computer application 7. SENIOR INSPECTORS (BUILDINGS) J.G CPSB 10 ‘J’Positions: - 2 Terms of Service: - Permanent and Pensionable
Duties and Responsibilities An officer at this level will be deployed as Clerk of Works for buildings under construction or as a Supervisor on alterations/repairs of existing buildings. The duties and responsibilities at this level entail reading and interpreting Architectural and Engineering drawings, comparing their details with work on site and compiling site weekly reports and monitoring work progress. In addition, duties will involve supervision of artisans carrying out maintenance work at a depot.
Requirements for Appointment For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: 1. Served in the grade of Inspector (Buildings) or in a comparable and relevant position for at least three (3) years; 2. a Diploma in Building and Civil Engineering or Construction Technician Certificate Part III or its equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution; and 3. Registered with National Constructions Authority(NCA) 4. Certificate in Computer Applications
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS All applicants are expected to present the following additional documents during interviews for purpose of complying with the provision of Chapter Six of the Constitution
