   1. ENVIRONMENT OFFICER J.G CPSB 09 ‘K’ 

 Positions: - 4

 Terms of Service: - Permanent and Pensionable 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Responsible for planning and coordination of all environmental and natural resources programmes, projects and activities in the Sub-county

2. Responsible for liaison with all stakeholders and players in environmental and natural resources conservation, development and management in the Sub-county

3. Responsible for implementation, monitoring and evaluation of all environmental and naturals resources programmes and projects in the Sub-county

4. Responsible for analysis and presentation of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual performance reports or any other reports as may be required by the Director of Environment and Natural Resources from his/her Sub-county

5. Responsible for dissemination of best practices in environmental and natural resources conservation and management in the Sub-county

6. Responsible for enforcement of noise pollution control regulations in the Sub-county

7. Responsible for ensuring effective and efficient integrated solid waste management in the Subcounty

8. Responsible for coordination of research in environment and natural resources conservation management and development in the Sub-county

9. Any other duties as may be assigned by the Chief Officer Water, Environment and Natural Resources or Director of Environment and Natural Resources or any other office in seniority

 

Requirements for Appointment

1. Must be a Kenyan Citizen

2. Bachelor of Science in the in the following disciplines: Forestry/ Environmental Science/ Natural Resources Management or other relevant and equivalent qualification from an institution recognized in Kenya.

3. Master’s degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage

4. Registration with FSK or its equivalent professional body

5. Computer applications certificate

 

 

    2. FOREST OFFICERS J.G CPSB 09 ‘K’

        Positions: - 2

  Terms of Service: - Permanent and Pensionable 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

The officer will be the head of Forest Resources functions at the Sub-county level and will carry out the following duties:

1. Responsible for planning and coordination of all forest related resources, programmes, projects and activities in the Sub-county

2. Responsible for liaison with all stakeholders and players in Forest conservation, development and management in the Sub-county

3. Responsible for implementation, monitoring and evaluation of all Forest programmes and projects in the Sub-county

4. Responsible for analysis and presentation of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual performance reports or any other reports as may be required by the Director of Environment and Natural Resources from his/her Sub-county

5. Responsible for dissemination of best practices in Forest conservation and management in the Sub-county

6. Enforcement of forestry regulations in the Sub-county

7. Ensuring effective and efficient integrated forest management in the Sub-county

8. Responsible for coordination of research in Forest conservation management and development in the Sub-county

9. Any other duties as may be assigned by the Chief Officer Water, Environment and Natural Resources or

10. Director of Environment and Natural Resources or any other office in seniority

 Requirements for Appointment

1. Kenyan Citizen

2. Bachelor in Forestry or its relevant equivalent with required experience from a recognized institution

3. Master’s degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage

4. Registration with FSK or equivalent professional body

5. Certificate in computer applications

 

 

    3. WATER ENGINEER J.G CPSB 09 ‘K’

        Positions: - 3

  Terms of Service: - Permanent and Pensionable 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Planning and supervision of construction works for water supplies and sanitation infrastructure

2. Collecting and collating operation and maintenance date for the water supply utilities

3. Supervising of water supply and artisans

4. Carrying out survey and design of water supply and sanitation projects

5. Carrying out rehabilitation and augmentation for existing water and sanitation schemes

6. Analyzing data and preparation of technical reports

7. Carrying out feasibility studies and reconnaissance reports for proposed water and sanitation infrastructural projects

8. Drafting of bills of quantities for water projects in the County

9. Responsible for under studying the works and projects supervision under direct guidance of Sub-county water officers and heads of various divisions within the water directorates

10. Assist in project planning implementation monitoring and evaluation of water and sanitation projects

11. Assisting in coordination of research in water resources development and

12. Any other duties as may be assigned by the Chief Officer Water, Environment and Natural Resources or

13. Director of Water or any other office in seniority

 Requirements for Appointment

1. Be a Kenyan citizen

2. Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Water Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized institution

3. Master’s degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage

4. Two years’ experience with water treatment project

5. Proficiency in computer applications and relevant computer aided software

 

 

    4. INSPECTOR- WATER J.G CPSB 10 ‘J’

        Positions: - 2

  Terms of Service: - Permanent and Pensionable 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Responsible for planning of Water supply and sanitation networks in respective areas in Wards

2. Supervising Water and Sanitation supply works in the Wards

3. Checking operations charts

4. Collecting and analyzing data

5. Supervising operations and maintenance of water supplies

6. Responsible for maintenance of water supplies schemes

 Requirements for Appointment

1. Be a Kenyan citizen

2. Diploma in either Water Supply Technology or Water Engineering or relevant and equivalent qualification from recognized institution

3. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage

4. Computer application certificate

 

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

2. Clearance from HELB where necessary

3. Clearance from the Ethics and anti- corruption commission

4. Clearance from the CRB.

5. Certificate of Good Conduct from the police
